Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Day) and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night). Various additional shift times: 7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a. Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse population including oncology and trauma patients
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects per ONS guidelines
• Manage PCU-level patients with titratable drips like heparin and cardizem
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT/OT, case managers, social workers, educators) to optimize outcomes
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document in Epic EMR
• Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining same level of care
• Participate in hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent PCU, MedSurg, or Oncology nursing experience required
• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state (NLC)
• Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
• First-time travelers welcome! We will support you every step of the way
• Willingness to take an open-book pass/fail exam on Friday during orientation (90% required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Epic EMR and Alaris IV pumps
• Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000) with training available
• Comfortable with ventilator management and basic life support (BLS, ACLS)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; be the type of nurse you want to work with
