Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit
Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret rhythms
Titrate cardiac drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Manage arterial lines and oversee high-flow oxygen therapy
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to care for PCU acuity patients

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Experience with arterial lines and telemetry interpretation
At least 1-2 years of PCU experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book exam on skills during orientation (90% required)

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac care and medication administration
Sepsis management and stroke care
Dialysis and renal failure care
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
