Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with rotating on-call and rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality nuclear medicine studies including cardiac SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying
Operate GE nuclear medicine equipment and utilize Radnet & Merge Unity systems
Collaborate with in-house radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses
Provide on-call coverage for weekday evenings and rotating weekends
Float to Mercy Downtown (approximately 6.5 miles away) as needed to support patient care
Maintain a safe and clean environment adhering to all safety protocols

Qualifications

Active California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (CA NMTL)
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Proven proficiency in cardiac SPECT, bone scans, and other nuclear medicine procedures
Experience with GE imaging equipment and Radnet/Merge Unity PACS

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in nuclear medicine imaging techniques and radiation safety
Competence in performing a variety of studies including cardiac, bone, and gastric exams
Strong attention to detail for accurate image acquisition and patient positioning
Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with radiologists and staff
Ability to adapt to different clinical environments and float between facilities
