Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform accurate, timely clinical laboratory testing in accordance with laboratory procedures and quality standards
- Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure reliable results
- Validate and document test results, escalate critical values promptly to clinical teams
- Follow and support quality control, QC documentation, and regulatory compliance activities
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and clinical teams to support patient care and efficient workflow
- Contribute to process improvement efforts and maintain a safe, organized work environment
Qualifications
- Valid California Clinical Laboratory License — MUST HAVE (required)
- Certification or experience as a Clinical Lab Scientist or Medical Technologist
- Comfortable performing a range of routine and specialized clinical laboratory procedures
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including potential nights and weekends
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory testing principles and laboratory safety practices
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments, quality control and documentation procedures
- Ability to interpret and verify results, and to recognize critical values
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload effectively
- Team-oriented approach and professional communication with clinical staff
