Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled physical therapy interventions under the supervision of the PT to help patients regain mobility and function
• Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training and mobility programs tailored to each patient
• Monitor and document patient progress accurately and communicate changes to the care team
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families about home exercises and safe mobility
• Ensure a safe treatment environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with clinicians, nursing staff and support personnel to create cohesive care plans

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure
• Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable working primarily daytime shifts with the ability to work one weekend day as scheduled
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Pass a background check and meet facility credentialing requirements

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise prescription and functional mobility training
• Proficient with patient documentation and electronic medical records
• Knowledge of safe transfer and positioning techniques
• Ability to assess patient response to treatment and report changes
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient education and team collaboration
• Familiarity with adaptive equipment and durable medical equipment recommendations
