Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care consistent with LPN/RN scope of practice
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions to promote continuity
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control and safety protocols
• Support patient and family education with clear, empathetic communication

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in good standing (New Mexico licensure preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Active clinical skills and comfort with med pass, charting, and patient assessments
• Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and adapt quickly to new settings
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program; diploma, ADN, or BSN acceptable depending on license

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and vital signs interpretation
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and standard charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and staff
• Time management and prioritization during busy 12+ hour day shifts
• Basic wound care and ADL assistance knowledge
