Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, nights (schedule varies); every-other-weekend required; minimum of 2 holidays during the contract
Hours per Week: 48
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity critical care to adult ICU patients with compassion and clinical skill
- Assess, monitor and document patient status using EPIC and bedside assessments
- Read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips and act promptly on abnormalities
- Titrate vasoactive drips, insulin, and sedatives safely and per protocol
- Troubleshoot respiratory support from nasal cannula through ventilator support and collaborate with Respiratory Therapy
- Respond to trauma and code events with calm, decisive action
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and recovery plans
Qualifications
- Active RN license eligible for practice in Nebraska (license to submit required)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Comfortable titrating drips and managing cardiac monitoring/strip interpretation
- Familiarity with GE telemetry systems and EPIC charting
- Driver's license required at submittal (50-mile radius rule applies)
- Willing to complete orientation requirements and pass the skills exam (90% pass required)
- Able to work nights, every other weekend, and meet the holiday requirement for the contract
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care nursing practices and protocols
- Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
- Vasoactive medication management and drip titration
- Ventilation basics and troubleshooting from nasal cannula to ventilator
- Trauma and acute medical management (sepsis, post-stent, stroke, renal/heart failure)
- Proficient EPIC documentation and clinical charting
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, and clinical decision-making
