Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: Buhler, KS
Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift) — 30 hours/week, No weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 30
Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients' communication and swallowing abilities using evidence-based tools
- Develop individualized treatment plans that make measurable progress
- Deliver person-centered therapy with clear goals and compassionate care
- Document evaluations and treatment progress clearly and on time
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers to support carryover and safety
- Participate in program development and quality-improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent (see Education)
- Active Kansas SLP license or eligibility to obtain state licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Comfort with clinical documentation and basic electronic health record systems
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in rehab, medical, or related settings is a plus
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (MS, MA, or equivalent)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and outcome measurement
- Ability to create clear, measurable treatment goals and progress notes
- Strong collaboration skills for working with nurses, PT/OT, and other clinicians
- Experience with patient and family education and discharge planning
