Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic IVs, chemotherapy and blood products with precision and compassion.
• Assess and monitor patients before, during and after infusion to ensure safety and comfort.
• Educate patients and families about treatments, side-effect management and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with oncology providers and the outpatient team to coordinate seamless care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record and report changes in condition.
• Follow strict chemotherapy/biotherapy and infection-control protocols to protect patients and staff.
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold clinic standards of care.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado RN license in good standing (required)
• BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification (required)
• Minimum of 3 years of RN infusion experience (preferred/expected)
• Experience with IV administration, chemotherapy administration and blood products
• Ability to provide Nursys license verification and pass agency credentialing

Knowledge & Skills

• Infusion nursing best practices and outpatient infusion workflows
• IV insertion/maintenance and safe medication administration
• Chemotherapy handling, administration and biotherapy protocols
• Monitoring for infusion reactions and emergency response readiness
• Strong patient education, communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary oncology team and prioritize care
