Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe nursing care to patients as a licensed LPN or RN
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vitals, and document changes accurately
• Administer medications and treatments according to facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely charting while adhering to regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or ability to obtain
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Clinical experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to work 12.5-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) and adapt to per diem scheduling
• Proof of required immunizations and background checks as per facility policy

Education

• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN) or accredited nursing program (RN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Wound care basics and ability to follow care plans
• Time management and the ability to prioritize in a busy setting
• Collaborative teamwork and clear communication with care teams
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
