Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients in accordance with facility policies
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patient status, record observations, and report changes to the care team
- Assist with care planning and collaborate with nurses and allied health professionals
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
- Support patient education and assist families with care instructions
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (required)
- Clinical experience caring for adult patients (per-diem experience welcomed)
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work a 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM day shift as scheduled
Education
- Diploma in Practical Nursing or equivalent vocational nursing education
- Continuing education and certifications encouraged
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medication administration, and wound care
- Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
- Skilled in patient assessment, vitals monitoring, and reporting clinical changes
- Team-oriented, dependable, and organized under varying clinical demands
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
