Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 3x12-hour Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM — 3 nights per week (night). Schedule days are variable and set every 4-week scheduling period; block schedules used; first-week orientation is Mon-Fri days, second-week orientation is 36 hours on-unit with preceptor.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for adults and geriatric oncology patients throughout diagnosis, treatment and transition-of-care
- Monitor telemetry continuously and interpret dysrhythmias quickly to keep patients safe
- Start and maintain IVs, access and manage ports, and perform central line blood draws with precision
- Administer blood products and medications, and assist with chemotherapy administration when certified
- Apply strict infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions to protect vulnerable patients
- Document clearly and efficiently in EPIC to maintain continuity of care
- Collaborate with PT, RT, pharmacy, social services and other teams to deliver holistic care
- Float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed and contribute to a flexible, team-first culture
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state of Ohio or compact licensure preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; must meet experience requirements within the last 3 years and have at least 1 year of current specialty experience for a clinical pass
- BLS certification — required
- ONS Chemo certification — preferred
- Comfortable with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and emergency cardiac response
- Experience with IV therapy, central lines, ports and blood product administration preferred
- Ability to self-schedule, work nights, and float to other med-surg oncology units
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry interpretation and continuous cardiac monitoring (GE B450 telemetry system experience a plus)
- Dysrhythmia recognition and dysrhythmia management
- EPIC charting and computerized documentation
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs and central line blood draws
- Accessing and managing ports and blood product administration
- Infection prevention protocols and proper use of PPE/Isolation Precautions
- Tracheostomy care/management and basic respiratory support familiarity
- Familiarity with Alaris pumps, bladder scanner and Stryker beds
