Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, safe nursing care for assigned patients during the night shift
- Perform thorough assessments, document changes, and escalate concerns to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to coordinate patient-focused care plans
- Support patient and family education with clear, respectful communication
- Respond to emergencies calmly and according to facility protocols
- Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and sharing best practices
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of New Mexico
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Clinical experience in acute care or similar settings preferred
- Ability to work independently on night shifts and communicate effectively with the team
- Positive attitude, strong critical thinking, and patient-centered focus
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Medication administration and documentation proficiency
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Good interpersonal skills for patient/family communication and team collaboration
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical environment
