Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
- Safely transfer and ambulate patients, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
- Provide compassionate bedside care while preserving patient dignity and comfort
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate effectively with nurses and providers
- Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe patient environment
- Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Comfortable working 12+ hour night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM per this posting)
- Ability to follow care plans, document observations, and communicate clearly
- Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a patient-first mindset
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding and mandatory trainings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living
- Vital signs collection and basic clinical observations
- Safe patient handling and mobility assistance
- Basic charting and following documentation procedures
- Infection control principles and safe hygiene practices
- Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting
