Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts with varied start/end times (rotating day and night coverage, weekends included); 36 hours guaranteed

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and deliver high-quality emergency care to patients across the lifespan using the nursing process
- Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and their families to support recovery and follow-up
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate seamless patient care
- Respond rapidly to emergent situations, applying ACLS, PALS, and TNCC principles as needed
- Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement in the Emergency Department
Qualifications
- Current Oregon RN license or willingness to obtain Oregon RN license
- ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC required (certifications must be obtainable)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 2 years (required)
- Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and ability to work in fast-paced settings
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) — education consistent with state RN licensure requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid command of the nursing process and emergency nursing principles
- Patient and family education best practices
- Accurate and timely patient documentation
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination
- Triage, rapid assessment, and critical care interventions
- Pediatric and adult resuscitation skills (PALS, ACLS)
