Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan and execute individualized rehabilitation programs that help patients return to higher function
• Perform thorough evaluations and deliver treatments per referring physician prescriptions
• Apply therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, manual techniques and physical modalities with skill and compassion
• Communicate clearly and empathetically to educate and motivate patients toward their goals
• Assist with clinic management tasks, supporting smooth operations and quality patient care
• Supervise and mentor students and less-experienced staff, providing constructive feedback and role modeling
• Document patient care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality of treatment

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of Physical Therapy experience (required)
• Outpatient orthopedics experience (required)
• Active Illinois Physical Therapist license (must be active)
• Current American Heart Association BLS (required)
• Supervisory experience and ability to complete 2 supervisory reference forms (dates of employment required)
• Completed skills checklist (current to 1 year) pertinent to the Physical Therapist specialty
• Note: Applicants within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible; facility restricts local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Note: Applicants who were direct employees of the facility within the last 2 years are not eligible

Knowledge & Skills

• Therapeutic exercise and treatment planning expertise
• Neuromuscular re-education and gait training techniques
• Proficiency with physical modalities and manual therapy techniques
• Strong patient evaluation and clinical reasoning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate patients and collaborate with teams
• Clinic management awareness and experience supervising students and staff
