Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry and medical-surgical patients across multiple units
• Titrate cardiac drips (Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine) with precision and confidence
• Interpret EKGs and respond to rhythm changes promptly
• Float between Tele, Neuro, MedSurg, and holding areas at Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses
• Collaborate with charge nurses, clinical supervisors, and interdisciplinary teams
• Participate in a pass/fail dysrhythmia exam before contract signing and a sim lab on day one

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state (NLC)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred for Neuro rotation
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips (non-negotiable)
• Experience in telemetry, cardiac drip titration, and EKG interpretation
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer (max 2 attempts)
• Willingness to float between campuses and units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cardiac drip titration and hemodynamic monitoring
• Strong EKG interpretation skills for centralized telemetry
• Ability to adapt quickly to different unit protocols and patient populations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for floating assignments
• Proficiency with GE monitors and Spectralink phones
