Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (approximate, may vary; includes every other weekend)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring, postpartum, and antepartum patients
Monitor and titrate IV drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
Assist with GYN surgical patients and postpartum recovery
Collaborate with charge nurse and multidisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes
Educate new mothers on breastfeeding and newborn care

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience required
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state (NLC)
BLS and NRP certification required
Must pass open-book exam during orientation with 90% or higher

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titration of high-alert medications
Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
Experience with LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) model
Comfortable with electronic health records and fetal monitoring
