Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Self-scheduled 12-hour shifts, days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a progressive care unit
Monitor and titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem, ensuring patient stability
Administer chemotherapy and manage patient responses with precision
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining high standards of care
Conduct hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety

Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certification required
ONS/ONCC certification required (or willing to obtain)
Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
Minimum 1 year of PCU and Oncology experience
First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records
Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and handling
Ability to titrate common drips like heparin and cardizem
Strong teamwork and communication skills for a diverse patient population
Adaptability to float across different units and levels of care
