Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM - 7:00 AM), schedule managed by unit manager, every other weekend and holiday rotation required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Med/Tele unit, monitoring telemetry strips and interpreting rhythms
Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring patient safety and comfort
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators to deliver high-quality care
Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic health record
Float to all med/surg units as needed to support team coverage

Qualifications

Valid RN license in the state of Texas
BLS certification required
Ability to read telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms
Strong communication and time management skills
Flexibility to work every other weekend and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Time management and organizational abilities
Telemetry strip reading and rhythm interpretation
Ability to work in a fast-paced Med/Tele environment
