Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating including weekends (6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to a diverse PCU/IMC patient population including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more
Titrate and manage cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin with confidence
Float across multiple facilities within Zone 1 (Colorado Springs area) to support various units
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition promptly
Adapt to Just-In-Time assignments when needed, ready to go to any facility within the zone

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/IMC experience required
Active RN license in Colorado or compact state (must obtain CO license if not compact)
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and ativan titration
Prior neuro and Epic experience preferred
Comfortable floating across multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac drip management (dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amio)
Insulin and ativan titration
Heparin protocol management
Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Adult-geriatric patient care across multiple specialties
Strong communication and adaptability for float pool assignments
