Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; weekend rotation (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring and postpartum patients across 7 L&D beds and 27 postpartum beds
Circulate during C-sections in dedicated OR suites and assist with deliveries
Monitor fetal heart tracings using FetalLink integrated with Cerner EMR
Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurse, and resource nurse to ensure safe patient ratios
Float to postpartum, L&D, or NICU to care for grower/feeders as needed
Triage incoming patients and manage high-risk deliveries including substance withdrawal and Spanish-speaking populations

Qualifications

2-3 years of combined L&D and postpartum nursing experience
At least one prior travel contract preferred
Active ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
Fetal monitoring certification (AWOHNN intermediate or advanced)
Cerner EMR proficiency
Willingness to take call (optional but preferred)
Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Labor and Delivery nursing including C-section circulating
Postpartum and newborn care
Fetal monitoring interpretation
Cerner electronic medical records
High-risk pregnancy management
Patient education in English and Spanish (a plus)
