Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating shifts including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to neuro telemetry patients with conditions such as CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, and more
Titrate critical drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin with precision
Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes while maintaining sterile field
Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to changes promptly
Collaborate with a fast-paced team in a level 1 trauma center environment
Document patient care using Cerner EMR and give comprehensive bedside reports

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in neuro telemetry or similar setting
Level 1 trauma experience is mandatory
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance
Competency in sterile field technique for central line dressing changes and Foley insertion
Comfortable titrating drips and managing telemetry monitoring

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in drip titration (Amio, Cardizem, Insulin)
EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Cerner electronic medical record proficiency
Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to float to other MS/Tele floors as needed
