Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients in acute psychiatric crisis
Perform 5150 evaluations and coordinate involuntary holds as needed
Develop and implement discharge plans in collaboration with the care team
Provide crisis intervention and brief therapy to individuals and families
Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Valid 5150 certification in California
Prior experience working within Dignity Health or CommonSpirit facilities is required
At least two supervisor references within the last 12 months and one within 3 years
Ability to pass background check and pre-employment screening

Knowledge & Skills

Expert knowledge of psychiatric assessment and 5150 hold procedures
Proficient in care coordination and discharge planning
Strong crisis intervention and therapeutic communication skills
Understanding of California mental health laws and ethical practices
Excellent documentation and organizational abilities
Team collaboration and interdisciplinary communication
