Location: Bakersfield, CA

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts, 36 hours per week, every other weekend and holidays, with on-call rotation (30-minute response time)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
Operate and maintain GE and Toshiba imaging equipment
Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate image capture and quality
Utilize Radnet and Merge Unity PACS for image management and archiving
Provide exceptional patient care and ensure safety during procedures
Adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols

Qualifications

Valid ARRT certification in Radiography
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Willingness to float to Mercy Southwest facility (approx 6.5 miles away)
Ability to work rotating call, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremity imaging protocols
Hands-on experience with GE and Toshiba imaging systems
Familiarity with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS software
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
