Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 08-03-2026

End Date: 11-02-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and care for patients in the Progressive Care Unit, including cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes cases
Titrate drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications as ordered
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and assess patient responses
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
Maintain a positive attitude, strong communication, and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of PCU experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in titrating cardiac and neurologic drips
Comfortable with floating to various units
