Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and analyze results to guide patient care
• Set up and manage BiPAP and ventilator support for critically ill patients
• Administer nebulizer treatments and respiratory medications
• Provide conscious sedation and cardioversion standby support
• Assist with intubation procedures in emergency and ICU settings
• Deliver specialized respiratory care for neonates in a Level 2 NICU, including Bubble CPAP management

Qualifications

• Active Washington State Respiratory Therapist license (required)
• RRT or CRT credential
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Must have NICU experience with strong Level 2 nursery skills (32 weeks and up, Bubble CPAP)
• Ventilator skills and experience with adult respiratory care

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in ventilator management (PB 980, Philips V60, Respironics Lumis)
• Skilled in ABG draw and interpretation
• Experienced with BiPAP setup and monitoring
• Knowledge of conscious sedation and cardioversion protocols
• Ability to assist with intubation and airway management
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
