Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM / 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
Titrate and manage critical drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Monitor continuous EEG and telemetry, ensuring patient stability
Collaborate with a dedicated team in a fast-paced PCU setting
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the unit

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license (required for submittal and to verify 50-mile radius)
At least 1 year of PCU or similar experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book exam on skills during orientation (90% required)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and drip titration
Ability to manage a 1:4-5 patient ratio with confidence
