Location: Lufkin, TX

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms for early intervention
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators
Float to all med/surg units as needed to support team coverage
Work with PCTs to ensure patient safety and comfort in a 6:1 ratio setting

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact state
Excellent communication and time management skills
Telemetry experience and ability to read cardiac strips
BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
Willingness to float to all med/surg units

Knowledge & Skills

Med/Surg nursing expertise
Telemetry monitoring and ECG interpretation
Patient care for CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD
Strong communication and time management skills
