Location: Omaha, NE

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (0630-1900 or 1830-0700), every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
Monitor continuous EEG and titrate drips like Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to maintain a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio
Floating to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, dynamic unit
Maintain a positive attitude and help coworkers to ensure excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of PCU or progressive care experience preferred
Driver's license required for submission
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to titrate IV drips and manage telemetry
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
Critical thinking and quick problem-solving in high-stress situations
Experience with continuous EEG monitoring is a plus
