Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, ensuring safe outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to manage emergencies
• Educate patients and families on newborn care and recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to evidence-based practices

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Iowa or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Proficient in maternal and neonatal assessment
• Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control
