Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis while prioritizing patient comfort and care
- Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and preventive care techniques
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control standards
- Partner with the dentist and dental assistant to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment provided
- Deliver a welcoming, compassionate experience for every patient
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of New Jersey
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental practice
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and periodontal therapy
- Familiarity with dental equipment and instruments
- Proficiency in dental practice management software
- Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
- Strong patient education and chairside manner
