Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to progressive care patients
• Monitor telemetry and assess patient conditions closely
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to create effective care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management
• Document patient progress accurately and respond quickly to changes in condition

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana or compact state (required)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required)
• ACLS certification (strongly preferred)
• Previous PCU, step-down, or telemetry experience is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient assessment skills
• A genuine passion for patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• IV therapy and medication administration
• Electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Acute patient assessment and early recognition of deterioration
• Collaborative communication with multidisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
