Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and life-threatening conditions
• Perform rapid triage assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency treatments per protocol
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the ED team to implement patient-centered care plans
• Monitor patient conditions, document assessments accurately, and respond quickly to changes
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana RN license or compact state license (where applicable)
• Active BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• ACLS and PALS certifications strongly preferred
• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred
• Must be able to work flexible per diem shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency triage and clinical assessment skills
• Knowledge of emergency nursing protocols, including ACLS and PALS guidelines
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Comfortable with emergency procedures, including wound care, splinting, and resuscitation
