Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and identify changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team on care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge care
• Maintain thorough, accurate documentation while ensuring patient safety

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• Med/Surg or acute care experience is a big plus
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• A caring, compassionate approach to patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Care planning and clinical documentation
• Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency
• Clear communication with patients, families, and team members
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
