Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons with wisdom tooth extractions and other surgical procedures
• Monitor and record patient vital signs including blood pressure and oxygen saturation during sedation
• Administer nitrous oxide and assist with IV sedation under the direction of the surgeon
• Take and process panoramic X-rays for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Provide clear post-operative instructions to patients and their families
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and maintain a clean operatory environment

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training
• Experience in oral surgery or dental assisting preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in taking panoramic and intraoral X-rays
• Knowledge of nitrous oxide and IV sedation protocols
• Strong understanding of vital sign monitoring (BP, Pulse Oximetry)
• Familiarity with wisdom tooth surgery procedures and post-operative care
• Excellent communication skills for patient interaction
