Location: Parkville, MD

Shift Type: 12:30 PM - 8:00 PM, day shift (specific days to be confirmed)
Hours per Week: 38
Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment to maintain a safe, clean environment
- Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring accurate imaging for treatment planning
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care with a friendly, reassuring approach
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as needed
- Provide exceptional patient care, making every visit a positive experience
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or state-specific license as required in Maryland
- Experience as a dental assistant, with orthodontic experience a plus
- Current CPR certification
- X-ray certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and orthodontic procedures
- Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization protocols, and infection control
- Familiarity with dental practice management software
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
