Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures to ensure smooth patient care
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms for each patient
• Take and develop dental x-rays, impressions, and photographs as directed
• Manage patient records, appointments, and treatment plans with accuracy and efficiency
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care to promote positive outcomes
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment

Qualifications

• Must be Orthodontic Certified
• Experience as an Orthodontic Dental Assistant is highly valued
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (e.g., Denticon) is a plus
• Current CPR certification preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Proficiency with dental software for scheduling and records
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and team
• Excellent attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and patient care
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
