Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist chairside during procedures, ensuring a calm and positive patient experience
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms, maintaining a safe and clean environment
- Take and process dental X-rays, providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care, supporting them throughout their treatment journey
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans, collaborating closely with the clinical team
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification in Maryland, or eligibility to obtain
- Current X-ray certification, or ability to obtain upon hire
- Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Commitment to maintaining a sterile and organized work environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and orthodontic procedures
- Skilled in taking dental X-rays and using dental software such as Denticon
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Excellent interpersonal skills with patients and team members
- Attention to detail and strict adherence to infection control protocols
