Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized operatory
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and support the flow of the orthodontic practice

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred, but will train the right candidate
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Radiology (X-ray) certification is a plus
• Previous experience in orthodontics or dental assisting is highly valued
• A passion for patient care and a team-player attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Understanding of orthodontic procedures and patient management
• Skill in taking dental X-rays with attention to safety
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to put patients at ease
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
