Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort
• Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and oral hygiene education
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as needed
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• Certification or training as a dental assistant is preferred (e.g., CDA or DANB)
• Current X-ray certification or ability to obtain one
• Previous experience in orthodontic assisting is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
• Familiarity with orthodontic procedures and appliances
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Proficiency in dental software for scheduling and patient records
• Strong teamwork and patient interaction skills
