Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to keep smiles healthy
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Document patient treatments and maintain accurate health records
• Adhere to strict sterilization and infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Associate degree in Dental Hygiene or related field
• Strong clinical experience in a dental practice setting
• Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with patients

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, scaling, and root planing techniques
• Familiarity with digital radiography and dental software
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Ability to explain oral health concepts clearly to patients
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
