Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Same Day Surgery unit, including PreOp, PAT, and Phase II recovery
Assess patient health status and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively, ensuring safe recovery
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Document patient care accurately using Meditech system

Qualifications

Active RN license in Florida or compact state
Minimum 2 years of experience in Same Day Surgery or related setting
Must have experience in PreOp, PAT, and Phase II Recovery
BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to float within unit as needed (no floating policy stated, but flexibility appreciated)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in Meditech documentation system
Skilled in patient assessment and care planning
Knowledge of surgical pre- and post-operative procedures
Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities
Adaptability to fast-paced clinical environment
