Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, rotating every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and recovery
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, responding quickly to changes
Assist with deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency procedures
Educate families on postpartum care and newborn feeding
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, positive outcomes
Document patient assessments and interventions accurately

Qualifications

Active RN license in Iowa (or compact state) - we'll help with verification
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience preferred
Certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and NIHSS required
Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (AWHONN) strongly preferred
Ability to pass a background check and health screening

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in fast-paced settings
Excellent communication with patients, families, and team members
Proficient in fetal monitoring interpretation and interventions
Comfortable with electronic health records and documentation
Adaptable to changing patient needs and unit demands
