Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care to bone marrow transplant patients in a 40-bed unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient responses
Perform thorough assessments and manage telemetry and simple titration of drips
Collaborate with a supportive team, including PCTs and HUCs
Conduct bedside shift report and participate in safety rounds
Float to other units as needed, with travelers floating first

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact state
At least 1 year of RN experience in oncology or PCU
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
BMT experience preferred but not required
Excellent assessment skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of oncology and PCU level of care
Ability to read telemetry and monitor simple titration of drips
Competent in chemotherapy administration
Experience with Meditech documentation system
Team player with excellent communication skills
