Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional emergency nursing care in a high-volume Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care
Manage patient flow, triage, and prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to ensure positive patient outcomes
Float to all sections of the ED as needed, including cardiac monitoring and internal processing areas
Maintain patient experience standards using AIDET and respectful communication

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS certifications required before start (ENPC within 90 days)
Experience in a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center preferred
Teamwork mentality with ability to coach and give feedback in real time
Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in Cerner documentation system
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Comfort with a variety of patient populations and conditions
