Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM, plus on-call one weekday per month and one weekend per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in a variety of surgical procedures including open heart, vascular, thoracic, neuro, spine, robotics, and ortho cases
Prepare and maintain a sterile field throughout surgeries
Anticipate surgeon's needs and pass instruments efficiently
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the highest patient safety standards
Manage surgical supplies and equipment in a busy CVOR and general OR environment

Qualifications

Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification
Active Colorado DORA registration
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience with open heart and endovascular cases
Ability to float to general OR when needed

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in sterile technique and infection control
Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment for CVOR and general procedures
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Quick problem-solving and adaptability during surgeries
