Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
Titrate and monitor critical drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Monitor continuous EEG and respond to changes in patient status
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced progressive care unit
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed, ensuring continuity of care
Maintain a positive attitude and strong communication to support teammates and patients

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or step-down experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam during orientation with a 90% score
Driver's license required for mileage verification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in titrating intravenous medications and monitoring hemodynamics
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable with high patient acuity and fast-paced environments
Knowledge of cardiac, stroke, and neurological care
