Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG rhythms for cardiopulmonary and neuro patients
Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population in a 26-bed unit
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, intensivists, and RTs
Administer medications, manage ventilators (Airvo/High Flow), and assist with procedures
Serve as a patient advocate and educator, ensuring optimal outcomes
Participate in charge nurse duties and support PCTs in patient care

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in telemetry, cardiopulmonary, or neuro (within the past 6 months)
Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
EKG interpretation skills required; must pass Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam (2 attempts max)
Ability to pass a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Knowledge of cardiopulmonary and neurological conditions and treatments
Experience with patient ratios of 1:3-4 and working with PCT support
Familiarity with centralized telemetry systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with charge nurse and management support
