Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to neuro telemetry patients, including those with CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and encephalopathy
• Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms, titrating drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
• Perform skilled assessments and interventions for trached patients and those with complex medical conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement evidence-based care plans
• Ensure patient safety by maintaining sterile field during central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions
• Deliver bedside report and educate patients and families on discharge planning

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in telemetry or neuro unit
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam and SIMs lab skills (Foley catheter, central line dressing, sterile field)
• Experience with Level 1 trauma patients and neuro conditions highly preferred
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to float within the system

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in EKG interpretation and cardiac drip titration
• Strong understanding of sterile field technique and infection control
• Experience with Cerner EMR and WOWs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage fast-paced, high-turnover patient caseload
